In far away South Asia, the Island nation of Sri Lanka is a veritable jewel, rich with verdant jungles, spectacular beaches and a distinctive culture, its the worlds largest exporter of coconuts and the gemstones mined in the interior are world famous. It is said that the "Bombay Safire" was found here, today its found in the Queens bejeweled crown. The British, Portuguese, Dutch, and Arabian explorers, even Marco Polo, have exalted the uniqueness of the island often referred to as the ‘Isle of Serendib’. It’s there, in the fishing village of Hikkaduwa where a human treasure is to be found, yoga master Lyndon Mason.
Lyndon Mason, learned yoga more than 28 years ago from Vishnu Devananda, a famous yogi who lived and taught in Southern India. Vishnu founded the Sivananda School in the 1960's and spread yoga to the world.
